Demand for an Accounting. In both an estate from a Will in probate OR for a trust you can invoke a demand for accounting. You can do this without fear of invoking a forfeiture or no contest clause. The trustee, executor, and administrator owes you duty of full discourse. They must give you an accounting. For probate estates you need to wait until 15 moths after an estate is opened. For trusts you can ask for them annually. If they fail to account, you may be able to remove the trustees.
ACCOUNTING. (a) Interested Person May Demand
Accounting. At any time after the expiration of fifteen months from
the date that an independent administration was created and the
order appointing an independent executor was entered by the county
court, any person interested in the estate may demand an accounting
from the independent executor. The independent executor shall
thereupon furnish to the person or persons making the demand an
exhibit in writing, sworn and subscribed by the independent
